Dates announced for 2025

The Brisbane Cycling Festival returns for a massive and exciting sixth edition in 2025 from Friday, March 21 to Sunday, April 13.

Australia’s biggest celebration of cycling is set to deliver fun and excitement for all ages and abilities, with the festival program set to include more than 100 events and activities, led by its staple roster of premier elite racing events.

The Active Lifestyle Expo takes centre stage during the Festival Village weekend from April 12–13 with a fresh, riverside look at the South Bank Parklands.

The popular Tour de Brisbane brings the curtain down on a month of action and takes over Brisbane on Sunday, April 13.

A new wave of Australian track cycling stars will come to the fore at the 2025 AusCycling Track National Championships at Anna Meares Velodrome, Chandler, from March 25–30.

Potential Brisbane 2032 stars in the making race from March 22–26 at the 2025 AusCycling Junior Track National Championships, and the 2025 AusCycling Masters Track National Championships wrap up the TrackNats program from April 7–10.

The 2025 AusCycling Esports National Championships return to Queensland University of Technology’s The Cube on Friday, April 11 after a successful inaugural event in 2024, and multiple Oceania Championships events will also be held throughout the region.

AusCycling Chief Executive Officer Marne Fechner said the festival offers a cycling experience like no other in Australia.

“The Brisbane Cycling Festival continues to grow year on year, as we saw in April this year when more 7000 cyclists took to the streets for the Tour de Brisbane,” Fechner said.

“From a desire to bring people together and showcase riding and cycling, the Festival has well and truly grown into Australia’s biggest celebration of life on a bike.

“And we're continuing to evolve, with the Active Lifestyle Expo’s moving to the South Bank Parklands for 2025. This is an exciting change for the Festival Village weekend and I’m looking forward to joining in on the festivities in the heart of the city alongside the Brisbane River.”

Lord Mayor of Brisbane Adrian Schrinner said he was thrilled to welcome back the Brisbane Cycling Festival for the sixth year as it brings more to see and do to our suburbs.

“The Brisbane Cycling Festival encourages cycling enthusiasts of all ages and abilities to get out and be active and also enjoy the very best sights around Brisbane,” Cr Schrinner said.

“As Australia’s lifestyle capital, we will continue to host major events like this that excite residents and visitors and bring economic benefits to local businesses.”
