Fresh from breaking two world records on the track last month, Boddington will be the face of the Brisbane Cycling Festival, 16 March - 12 April 2026, as the city prepares to welcome more than 60 events, workshops and activations across four massive weeks.
Boddington says he is proud to represent a Festival that embraces every level of cycling.
“Brisbane is an incredible place to ride, race and train,” Boddington said.
“I’m excited to help inspire more people to get involved and experience everything this Festival has to offer.
“I’ll be competing at numerous events throughout the Festival including the Track Nationals at the Anna Meares Velodrome, the Oceania Road Championships and I’m also super excited to take part in the Tour de Brisbane, it’s such a great event, and I’ll be encouraging everyone to get involved.
“Whether you are riding, watching us compete, or experiencing the Festival, there is something for everyone. I’m super excited to be an ambassador for the Brisbane Cycling Festival.”
The Brisbane Cycling Festival will bring together elite racing, grassroots participation and community experiences encouraging the community to Ride. Watch. Experience and cementing Brisbane as Australia’s cycling capital.

“Brisbane is Australia’s lifestyle capital and our packed calendar of events means there’s always plenty to see and do across the suburbs.
“With bikeways right across the city, new links like the Kangaroo Point Bridge, extensions to the Moreton Bay Cycleway near Brisbane Airport and Riverwalk upgrades, there’s never been a better time to get on your bike and explore.
“The 2026 Brisbane Cycling Festival is expected to attract up to 30,000 cycling fans, filling our hotels and restaurants, creating a great atmosphere and injecting millions into the local economy.
“I encourage everyone to get involved in this city-wide celebration and enjoy the fantastic cycling events happening right across Brisbane.”
Alongside the flagship major events, a host of spotlight events throughout the Brisbane Cycling Festival will give members of the community of all ages and skill levels an opportunity to experience cycling.
